Welcome everyone to the first-ever Runiverse Direct! This presentation offers an overview of what you can expect to come soon to the Forgotten Runiverse. Packed with teasers, massive reveals, and progress updates, it’s an invitation to explore how this community-driven game will continue to evolve.

Forgotten Runiverse Livepaper

Welcome to the Forgotten Runiverse
Forgotten Runiverse is an evolving fantasy MMORPG set within the iconic Forgotten Runes IP. Built on the Ronin blockchain, it combines traditional MMORPG elements with cutting-edge technology to offer true ownership and influence over the game’s economy and lore.
Players can embark on thrilling adventures, build and customize settlements, craft powerful items, and trade within a dynamic player-driven economy. Its unique ‘create-to-earn’ model turns achievements into tangible rewards, empowering players to leave a lasting mark. With over 90,000 registered players, the community continues to grow stronger as development progresses. The next milestone, Global Early Access, is set for Q1 2025.
The Arcane Foundation Partnership
This edition of Runiverse Direct unveiled details about the partnership with The Arcane Foundation. This collaboration integrates decentralized economic and creative systems into the game. The introduction of the $XP token allows players to earn from questing, crafting, and lore-building activities, creating a sustainable economy driven by player contributions. This partnership reinforces Forgotten Runiverse’s vision of community-driven world-building.
Introducing Quanta!
The $XP token connects directly to Quanta, the in-game currency driving the economy. Quanta is used for minting items, constructing and upgrading buildings, and fostering community engagement. Landowners earn Quanta when other players interact with their facilities, incentivizing the development of vibrant player hubs.
To celebrate early supporters, a massive airdrop of 21 trillion Quanta will coincide with the Global Early Access launch in Q1, rewarding players who purchased Mana during previous events and playtests.
Land Plots: Build, Customize, and Thrive
Land ownership is central to gameplay in Forgotten Runiverse. Players can design and customize their plots, using buildings like Mage Halls and Forges to unlock advanced crafting and specialization. Gathering Stations streamline resource collection, while decorative elements allow for personal expression.
Maintaining buildings requires Mana, and neglect can lead to deterioration. However, any player can help restore Mana to keep facilities functional. This system fosters collaboration within the community, ensuring that land remains a core pillar of the Runiverse.
Mounts Have Arrived!
Mounts have been revealed during the direct! These companions not only make exploration more enjoyable but also provide practical benefits for players as they traverse the expansive world of Forgotten Runiverse. With a variety of mounts planned, including the highly anticipated Forgotten Runes Ponies NFT collection, players can look forward to riding their trusty steeds in the Runiverse.
Quantum Gifts and Builder’s Crates
Quantum Gifts, awarded during the Eve of Memory event, contain exclusive items such as mounts, familiars, cosmetics, and blueprints. Builder’s Crates, earned in the New Foundations event, offer furniture, magical enhancements, and other decorative elements. Both rewards feature rarity tiers and will never be minted again, making them highly coveted collectibles!
Wizards and Ring Benefits Expanded
Wizards and Rings are central to the identity of Forgotten Runiverse. Owning a Wizard NFT unlocks exclusive benefits, including Quanta multipliers, unique skins, and membership in the Wizard’s Guild. Players can also access the Secret Tower, a hidden in-game location reserved for Wizard holders.
Rings, limited to only 700 minted, provide daily Mana bonuses, crafting enhancements, and exclusive cosmetics. Like Wizards, they grant access to the Secret Tower, cementing their status as prized assets within the game.
The Economy: Gold, Mana, and Quanta
The presentation delved into the game’s three key currencies. Gold serves as the primary currency for crafting and trading, while Mana is used for building maintenance and crafting boosts.
Quanta is tied to the new $XP token launching from Arcane Foundation; and will be used for minting items onto the blockchain, building facilities on plots of land, and upgrading those facilities.
In-Game Store and Boost System
Our Font of Memory gacha will continue to play a role in the full game’s release. Use Mana to roll for changes to earn Boosts, cosmetics, exclusive items, and more.
Boosts provide temporary advantages; such as faster resource gathering, EXP boosts, increased Mana accumulation, or increased crafting efficiency. Some of these boosts can even be shared during party play, encouraging players to team up while they’re active for maximum benefits.
Crash the Runiverse Event
The presentation concluded with the thrilling announcement of the Crash the Runiverse event. All players are invited to join us December 18th for a special event gameplay event. That’s right, everyone – whether they hold tokens related to the Forgotten Runiverse or not!
This stress-test opportunity introduces the Omen System, where players can increase dungeon difficulty for greater rewards. An NPC in-game will auto-level your character to 20 and grant equipment to take on the Windmill and Pyramid dungeons using the new Omen system.
Participants will also have the chance to earn exclusive mintable armor sets, making this event a highlight for the community. Donut Points will also be retroactively awarded to all participants of the event, so be sure to join in!
The event will last for 3 days, so mark your calendars and get ready to CRASH THE RUNIVERSE!
Looking Ahead: Roadmap for 2025 and Beyond
This is just the beginning. We’re just getting started in building the Forgotten Runiverse and of course have so much more in store.
The 2025 roadmap includes the Global Live Service launch, raising the level cap to 25, introducing epic raids, and enhancing the guild system. Familiars will also make their debut, adding new layers of customization and gameplay depth.
By 2026, players can expect competitive PvP zones, duel arenas, and dynamic weather systems. The level cap will rise further, accompanied by new quests, regions, and challenges to explore.
